Totally thought things were looking up. I thought you were starting to get over her. When you texted me today it made me so happy, and now you’re telling me you want to ask her to prom still and I don’t even feel like talking to you anymore. Except I do because you’re upset and I want to help.

I hate this.

Confusion.

I really like you, but I know you like her. You’ve liked her for a wicked long time. We went to the movies and I thought things may be looking up but then afterwords you felt bad cause you thought you were leading me on. BUT THEN we hang out again and you kiss me and we made out a few times. And we sent just over 200 texts the next day back and forth. You confuse the hell out of me because it seems like you like me and I want to believe you do, but I can never imagine you being over her. I don’t think I would believe you were over her even if you told me you were.

Sometimes I feel like my problems are so small and unimportant compared to everyone else’s.

Watching Pretty Little Liars marathon and doing homework all day! So not ready to go back to school tomorrow.

I love holiday sales. I’ve gotten so much this past week because of sales and gift cards from Christmas. What I bought:

1. 4 shirts

2. 7 rings - 4 of which came in a pack of one.

3. 3 necklaces

4. A belt

5. Ear muffs with headphones in them.

6. A scarf

7. Gloves

8. Bath and body works stuff. Lotion and rings are my latest obsession. I can’t get enough.

2011 in a nutshell.

• Auditioned and made SEMSBA.
• Went skiing with my new ski boot which were AMAZING.
• Got chosen for the junior drum major next year.
• Took part in the SEMSBA festival.
• Won NESBA finals.
• Went to Dayton, Ohio for WGI finals.
• Didn’t even make it past the preliminary round.
• Turned 16.
• Only got a gold at great east for Wind Ensemble.
• Went to prom as a Sophmore.
• My brother graduated high school.
• Went to my first Relay For Life.
• Started to date Dan.
• Got a band award (The junior band award even though I’m was sophmore haha)
• Chosen to be on the board for Tri-M for junior year.
• Went Hershey Park for the first time.
• Went to D.C.
• Band Camp.
• Broke-up with Dan.
• Got hired at Cosi.
• Started duties for drum major.
• Was in the pit for Oliver Twist-first experience with any plays.
• Auditioned for districts.
• Got into districts - first row.

I dunno what else. I’m probably missing some stuff but I’d say its pretty decent. For 2012 I have a few goals:

• Getting atleast one award at the band Pot Luck dinner.
• Get into SEMSBA, preferable upper half of the first flutes.
• Apply to college, get into college. - So scary to think about.
• Get grades up so over all average is back to atleast a 90. - That would be fucking amazing, but unlikley.
• Go threw with not dating anybody for the rest of Junior year.
• Save up for a piccilo.
• Become Tri-M president for senior year.
• Get 98+ in Music Theory and composition.
• Get into the pit orchestra for a West Side Story.
• Find a fucking amazing prom dress. (:

Bring it 2012.

That was such an awkward new years eve. Well off to hang out with Amy who I feel like I haven’t seen in forever!

It seems like every time a new year comes around, everyone around me seems so relieved that the past year is ending and they get to start over. I don’t get it.

Just because the calender changes doesn’t mean you have a fresh start. Unless New Years Day you are moving out of the country, I’m pretty sure almost everything in your life will stay the same. Everything carries over into the next year.

A year is just a period of time with a name to it. If you are having a shitty year, well I hate to break it to you but the drop of a big glowing ball is not going to change that. Its all on you.
